Optimizing Windows OS to use it with VMware Horizon View

One of my customer approached me asking on who he could optimize Windows 7/8 OS to run with VMware Horizon View.

Thankfully VMware have a fling called VMware OS Optimization Tool

This tools goes through the OS and modifies the default OS configurations to be more VDI friendly (such as disabling services)

I had recorder a video goes through that process. The assumption is that you have a fresh Windows OS (7 32-bit in this case) and that you have installed VMTools already on it.

Now your image is ready, just switch off the VM and create a snapshot (if you are planning to use it for Linked-Clone) or clone it into template (if you are planning to use it full VM).
